Chelsea Graves Society Info & External Research Links:

Born in the Gorbles area of Glasgow, Henderson started his football career as an amateur with his local team Queens Park.

Henderson is noted in the Cheshire/Hockings "Who's Who" book as being "George H Henderson" and possibly due to this, in some places as being "George Hunter Henderson" born in Glashiels. This George Henderson actually emigrated to Canada in the early 20th century.

Contemporary Chelsea programme notes, vintage pictures etc. confirm the "T" and his birth in Glasgow. A newspaper report from 1930 confirms Chelsea's George Henderson's death "in Birmingham" where it is also known he lived and visited Stamford Bridge from in years following his retirement (programme note in Jan 1915). George Turnbull Henderson is the only George Henderson registered as passing away in Birmingham in Q1 of 1930.
